Kettle & Shave™

Shave of the Day

1. Put ice and water in the shaker, and set it aside for the aftershave
2. Set electric kettle to your preferred water temp.
3. Lay an over-sized shave towel across the basin (bowl)
4. Pour the hot water over the middle part of the towel but leave the ends dry

5. Hold dry ends, wring out excess water back into basin, fold the dry ends behind the wet hot towel
6. Wait for towel to cool to a safe temperature
7. The best part! Carefully, bring the hot towel to your face and hold it there to enjoy the heat. Repeat 3 to 6 times until your face is heated and ready to shave

8. Shave as usual (cleaning the blade in the basin), and when done empty the basin into sink, rinse it out
9. Add some cold tap water back into the basin then grab the ice water shaker and pour the ice cold water into the basin
10. The best part! Scoop the cold water onto your face several times to rinse and cool off your face
11. The best part! Apply a quality aftershave lotion to take care of your skin
  • Heat the razor

Lay the hot towel on the rim of the basin after using it... then put the razor in the basin water to heat the blade by resting the handle on the towel. It makes for an even better shave, and longer lasting blade.

  • Skip the harsh alcohol aftershaves

Our routine includes a cold water splash after shaving... it closes the pores without alcohol as found in many popular aftershave products. It's just very cold water. Then after that... use an aftershave lotion without alcohol. Better for healthy skin.

  • Kettle Steam

If you're bringing the hot towel to your face and it's too hot then keep the towel a couple inches from your face and let the steam from the towel begin to warm your face and do it's magic. Feels great.
