Master of Devine Will
Christ guide me
For I am your brother
A traveler
of both space and time
A man of Free Will
Bound to a moral universe
Where love and sin
Are the triggers of Devine Will
Gifts for helping others
Suffering for the selfish
For the center of the universe
Is the farthest point from God
Amen
EXTENDED VERSION
Christ guide me. For I am your brother, a traveler of both space and time. A man of free will bound to a moral universe.
I kneel before The Father but I cannot kneel to men. Instead I must embrace men with Respect, Family and Money. For history warns me that even the rational man will kill or die for Respect, Family and Money.
Of the three, it's Respect that resonates with God. For Jesus and the Bible teach me the old lesson, that love and sin are the triggers of Devine Will. Gifts and Grace to those who respect and help others and suffering for the selfish.
I can act in my own self-interest without obsessing over ideas like "greed is good", "survival of the fittest" or "the ends justify the means". Machiavelli has no lesson for me, a simple man. So I pray for the self-centered and deceitful. For the center of the universe is the farthest point from God.
Real respect, to genuinely pray for others and help them succeed gives me allies in the world of men and puts God and karma on my side. The old lesson lights the way: You get what you give. For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. Cause and effect. Justice. And, of course, you reap what you sow.
It is in my self-interest to respect others. To genuinely pray and help them when I can. Likewise to harm another is to set that person, and the universe, against me. I should never humiliate a man or harm his family or money. If I do then I will spend my days looking over my shoulder awaiting retribution. And I know I will deserve it.
So, yes I have free will but I should not misuse it because I am bound to this moral universe. And most days, the world will meet me where I'm at.
Amen.
